News Article Analysis

According to the task of the Journalism course, I will analyze a news article and share with you what are the news structure in it.

Headline

Based on the Oxford Dictionary, a Headline means a heading at the top of an article or page in a newspaper or magazine. In other words, the Headline is the big title of a work, in an advertisement, news, article, or something else. Headlines are located at the very top and are the first thing readers see.

For instance word, "a front-page headline"

Byline 

According to Oxford Dictionary, a Byline means a line in a newspaper naming the writer of an article. In another word, The byline of a newspaper or magazine article indicates the author's name. Bylines are often positioned between the title and the article content, while some publications place bylines towards the bottom of the page to allow for more area for graphical elements around the headline.


Quotation

A quote is the written version of someone's spoken remarks. It may also refer to words they have written down, such as in a book or a press release. Quotes in print journalism are enclosed by quotation marks, either single (') or double ('').






News Story

A news story is about something that is timely happens today, tomorrow, or next week, tends to convey factual information about events or activities that have recently occurred and does so as quickly as possible.



Advertisement

An Advertisement is notice or announcement in a public medium promoting a product, service, or event or publicizing a job vacancy.
